I'm so happy you're still reading! :)

I have a lot of exciting things happening in my makeup life that I hope to share as soon as possible.
It'll include revamping the blog and spending time on creating (hopefully) great content for it!

I CAN'T WAIT!

...But until that happens (sometime within the next couple of months!), I thought I'd share a few of my favorite looks I've posted on Instagram.

Signature look?

I love doing lots of different looks, but if I should pick one "signature look" it would be a simple look with bold colors.

Actually really easy but really eye catching at the same time.

Zodiac

Why, oh why, does it have to be so hard to capture glitter in pictures?!
(I know there's a perfectly good explanation but that doesn't make it any less annoying, does it?)

This look is from the other half of the face I posted here. Once again using a couple of the new Urban Decay goodies, a super awesome Fyrinnae product and my trusty old MAC basics.

HI!! HOW ARE YOU?! :D

After months (and months) of absolute silence here, I'm back with a look!
I think part of the reason I've been MIA is that I've wanted the blog to have something else than just makeup looks. But who am I kidding? Blogging is not a main priority for me right now, since life keeps getting in the way. And I'm actually completely fine with that :) 

Now, what I do want, is for the blog to keep being a place for me to upload look pictures. Both because I like keeping the record for myself, but also because I hope the looks can be a source of inspiration for someone else :)
With that out of the way, lets get into the look :D

Like so many fun things, this look came about because I wanted to play with new makeup.

I bought the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Vault and 24/7 Liner Vault yesterday, and was pretty overwhelmed with the 20(!) eyeshadows and 40(!!) eyeliners. So. Many. Pretty. Colors.
I'm pretty sure I've never bought that much makeup at once before. Ever.

So, what's a girl to do with so much inspiration, too little time and only once face?
I did different looks on each side of my face, of course! ;)

This post features details on one side and I'll have another post up with details on the other asap.

Orange waterlines

I love a pop of color on the waterline or lower lashline!

Have you tried using orange?

I was inspired by an Instagram post by ShowYouMakeup but obviously turned it into something quite different... I felt like going a bit liner heavy, I guess ;)

Green + Glitter

What's the point of posting a look when I don't remember the products I used?
Well... It's pretty, right? ;)

Hug Life

I know, I know.

I'm late to the party, but can we just talk about the amazingness that is Sugarpill Lumi?
So. Freaking. Pretty.

Oh, and Hug Life is pretty cool too!

Sugarpill Penelope

I'm sure you've all seen Sugarpill's Penelope eyeshadow. It's gorgeous!
In this look, I used it with some browns, a tiny bit of purple and another product I bought recently: GOSH Bronze extreme liquid gel eye liner.
So far, I quite like the color and waterproof formula.

Forgotten treasures

I've had a couple of the Inglot AMC pure pigment eye shadows for years but for some reason I rarely reach for them. The same goes for my Kryolan UV-dayglow palette.

So why not use them together?

I was quite pleased with the result, but I don't think the pictures do the gorgeous duochrome Inglot shadow justice. At all. That's my excuse for the amount of pictures in this post. I was just trying to capture the color! ;)

Sleek Sunset eyes

Wow, I finally got around to trying the Sleek Makeup eyeshadow palettes!
The main colors in this look are from the Snapshot palette. It's pretty much worth it just for those two colors I'm wearing here. So super smooth, pigmented and easy to blend. What's not to love?

I've been using Instagram for a while as @SofieUdklit, but just created @ZoffeMUA just for makeup. Come say hi :)

Sugarpill Electrocutes

I'd been wanting the Sugarpill Electrocute sparkling neon pigments since they came out a year ago but I honestly haven't bought a lot of makeup in that period. I finally gave in and bought all the Electrocutes and the Heart Breaker palette and I'm super excited!

Now, lets be honest: Neon and glitter are tough things to work with and the combination in the Electrocutes is no exception. They're a pain! But since I can't think of anything else with a similar look, I'm willing to work with it ;)

Right now, my biggest problem is that with all the hard work of applying the colors, I still can't seem to get good pictures of it!

Love+

It's funny how Sugarpill's Love+ is an intense red but turns bright pink when blended out. I love it both ways though!

Smokey purple: Smoke & Diamonds revisited

What's better than both purple eyeshadow and smokey eyes?

The two combined!

Totally inspired by the weird purple-grey-brown that is my hair color these days ;)

I used MAC Smoke & Diamonds eyeshadow which is an old, limited edition eyeshadow. But it's so. freaking. pretty.

My hair's purple!

Long story short: The purple hair was very impulsive - choice of dye included. It didn't turn out as I expected, but it's growing on me. No pun intended...

The best thing: Nothing makes makeup more fun than a new hair color!

 

What's the craziest hair color you've ever had? :)

Contrasts

I've done variations of this color combination several times. Yellow+Orange eyeshadow and some sort of blue liner.
For some reason , I just really like this combination of contrasting colors and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out this time :)

Absinthe + Nylon

It's still super hot and summery here (by Danish standards) and I can't think of a better excuse for minimal eye makeup and super bright lips.

Not that you'd ever really need an excuse for wearing Nylon lip tar, but you get the point :)

Also, let me take a moment to (repeat myself and) tell you how much I love Sugarpill Absinthe! It's super bright but also very easy to blend out and use in a look like this.

Bronzy, smokey summer look

Anyone remember the MAC Style Warriors collection from 2009?
It makes me feel pretty old that it's already been five years, but that's not really the point here ;)

I didn't go for a Style Warriors revisited look when I did this but it sure ended up that way.
I'm wearing Bronzescape solar bits on my eyes, Eversun blush on my cheeks and Brave New Bronze lipsticks on my lips.

 

And a question for you: Is it boring to see looks with old, limited edition products?

Graphic Green

I'm sticking with the bright summer colors but taking a break from the Electric palette. I quite like how simple and wearable this look is even though it features bright colors and a dramatic shape.

Fun, fun, fun! :)

Blown out pink

I can't even tell you how much fun I'm having working my way through all the Urban Decay Electric colors!

Could I have created this look without the palette? Sure.
But it seems that the Electric colors were just what I needed to get more creative with makeup again. Along with vacation, of course ;)
