Smokey purple: Smoke & Diamonds revisited

What's better than both purple eyeshadow and smokey eyes?

The two combined!

Totally inspired by the weird purple-grey-brown that is my hair color these days ;)

I used MAC Smoke & Diamonds eyeshadow which is an old, limited edition eyeshadow. But it's so. freaking. pretty.

Bronzy, smokey summer look

Anyone remember the MAC Style Warriors collection from 2009?
It makes me feel pretty old that it's already been five years, but that's not really the point here ;)

I didn't go for a Style Warriors revisited look when I did this but it sure ended up that way.
I'm wearing Bronzescape solar bits on my eyes, Eversun blush on my cheeks and Brave New Bronze lipsticks on my lips.

 

And a question for you: Is it boring to see looks with old, limited edition products?

Urban purples

I have a lot of purple eyeshadows and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite color to wear. My very first eyeshadow from MAC was Parfair Amour (also the only MAC eyeshadow I've ever hit pan on) and Urban Decay's Ransom (R.I.P) was a favorite for a long time.

The Urban Decay Electric palette features Urban, an awesome purple, which was the main inspiration for this look.
Urban is one of the four colors in the palette to come with the warning "not intended for the immediate eye area" so I can't really recommend that you try to recreate this. Luckily, both my eyes are still intact ;)

 

Classic, black smokey eye

I've been wanting to do a video on a basic, black smokey eye for a while, so when I finally(!) sat down to do a tutorial yesterday, that was what I wanted to do :)

Evil Eye

This look is basically just me playing around with the Evil Eye palette from the MAC Me Over! collection - hope you like it ;)

The things in the collection that stood out to me the most were definitely the blue and green fluidlines, but that's mostly because I'm pretty obsessed with fluidlines in general and don't have anything that looks like those two ;)

Overall, I do think MAC Me Over! is a really nice collection with something for everyone :)

We had a super fun MAC Me Over! event at the counter I work at and I got to do makeup on some lovely girls:) We took polaroid pictures of all the people we made over and put them on a big MAC Me Over! wall and I think it looked pretty awesome! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to post on here :/

Wohooo, a new POST!

I don't really have any excuses for not posting other than being away on vacation for three weeks and just being busy in general for what seems like forever.
I had so many exciting things I wanted to post over the summer but I'm already back at the university. Wow. I really wish I had more than 24 hours a day! ;)

I actually filmed a tutorial for this look, but I won't have time to edit+upload until tomorrow.

FOTD: Smokey eyes for work at MAC :)

We all had to do somkey eyes for work today, so this is what I came up with ;)
Quite a simple look, but I liked it :)
And I wore bronzer! Not just to contour but actual bronzer! That usually never happens, haha!

FOTD: Testing the lip tars!

This FOTD was done super quick (we're talking 5 minutes... maybe 10) so it's really not that exciting... But I wanted to put the lip tars to the test.

These pictures were taken just after applying the lip tar, so they're not meant to show you the staying power. But I will tell you, that even though I didn't wear primer or liner with this, it didn't bleed at all on me! Sure, it smeared a little after eating and drinking, and it did fade a bit as well but it really wasn't bad at all!
Now, 8 hours after application, I still have red lips. Not perfect red lips, and definitely not as bright as they were when I first applied the color, but not lips I wouldn't leave the house with either.

And the most crazy thing about it? It didn't even take a drop to cover my entire lip!

FOTD: Copper Sparkle look for work at MAC

I've had Copper Sparkle pigment for quite some time, but haven't really used it much, so I decided to do a look with it for work today :)

I kinda liked it better before I put on the black eyeliner though :/

All nighter

I was in a terrible hurry when taking these pictures (as I usually am when I'm on my way to work, lol!) so I the lash glue isn't completely dry and I didn't even put the gloss coat on top of the pro longwear lip color, so I'll apologize for that! ;)

A mask! - contest entry!

NikkieTutorials on youtube has a contest going on where you have to do both a mask and a "different" smokey eye.

I've never done a contest entry before, but it was fun! It was a great way to get inspired and do something different than usual. It's been forever since I've done a mask!

Graphic Garden: Fresh Cut

I used the Fresh Cut palette from the MAC Graphic Garden collection to create this look :) I do love the palette, but didn't get it myself since I have dupes of almost all the colours. I wish Sun-Shy eyeshadow(the peachy orange one) came as a single though - I would totally get that! :) And I really do think that the palette is worth the money if you don't already have similar shades. They work amazingly well with green and blue eyes :)
