Orange waterlines

I love a pop of color on the waterline or lower lashline!

Have you tried using orange?

I was inspired by an Instagram post by ShowYouMakeup but obviously turned it into something quite different... I felt like going a bit liner heavy, I guess ;)

Red. Purple. Gold.

Purple and red is a long time favorite of mine as far as color combinations go. Add a little gold and I'm in love!
This look turned out a bit darker than I intended thanks to the dramatic black liner.

And I have no idea what's up with all the nude lips lately. Challenge to myself: The next look I post needs to be featuring BRIGHT GLITTERY lips. Or something like that...

Azalea

Ahh, color blocking. It's such a simple and easy way to wear bold colors.

And I think I just remembered my favorite way to wear gold: with bright colors.

Goldilux

I don't seem to get along with gold eyeshadow very well.

Not that it looks horrible on me, but I just seem to find it rather boring once I put it on - even if it's an awesome color like Goldilux, and even if that awesome color is applied on top of Pixie Epoxy, which makes it even more awesome. Yeah, a whole lot of awesomeness turned into "mehh" once the look is done.

What's your favorite way to wear gold eyeshadow?

And do you ever feel like there are other colors that look more amazing by themselves than they do in a finished look?

Doing makeup on my sister :)

My 13 year old sister wants to wear makeup for an upcoming event, and has asked me to do it.

So, what kind of makeup do you do on a 13 year old?
She doesn't usually wear any makeup besides mascara, so I wanted to do something sweet and natural.

This past weekend, we did a little "trial" and I think the look we ended up doing is really nice on her! The gold liner makes it a little more fun than your standard super-neutral look but without being overpowering :)

Purple lips!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love purple lips!
And! I think I've just found my new favorite purple lip combo :D

I've looked at that picture so many times without ever trying to recreate it but I'm so glad I finally did! :)

Do you ever try to recreate looks you've seen other people do?
I rarely recreate other people's looks but I get inspired by them very often :)

I was sent some products from Glamour Doll Eyes to do a review, and I just haven't gotten around to finishing it yet!
I'm working on it though, and the review is coming up very soon :)
I'll tell you one thing though: I'm happy with the things, and have already ordered more! (which I paid for myself, obviously)

Golden Star look + tutorial

In my haul post from yesterday, I mentioned how amazing GOSH Golden Star effect powder looked on top of MAC Cuddle shadestick, and here is the proof :)

Another Christmas look - this one includes a tutorial! ;)

I really wanted to do a tutorial for a Christmas-y look, but I didn't want to do the same as the other look I posted, so this is what I came up with :)
It looks a more autumn-y than Christmas-y though... Fail ;)

Christmas Greens!

Coco Beach

So Coco Beach is one of those sought after and a bit hard to get pigment but I never really see anyone use it.
So I thought I'd give it a go :)
It is gorgeous but it looks a lot like Chocolate Brown so I honestly don't think you need to get it unless you're a huge pigment junkie or just love browns ;)

My little sister always comments on my makeup and it's super cute ;) "Ohh, are you wearing fake lashes? They're so long and pretty!" or "WOOOOW! That color is COOL!!"
Always puts a smile on my face :)

My sister was lying on my bed while I was doing makeup... Swatching lipsticks and talking about all the pretty colors and how I had way too much even though it was kinda cool xD

When I was taking FOTD pictures she wanted to be in one but she kept making funny faces so this is what we ended up with, haha :D

I'm wearing a foundation that's way too dark :( I'm usually even whither than her :s
But hey... I've found a foundation that works perfectly well with my super pale and slightly pig-pink skin :D I'll post about that later :)
